You know how you can spend years and years not listening to an album that you had on repeat for months and months and then you rediscover that album and it occurs to you it’s still pretty good? Well, that happened to me. TODAY! I remembered the awesome Soft Cell record Non-Stop Erotic Cabaret.
I didn’t come up in the 80s but I did come up listening to KROQ’s rocking 80s lunch hour with Richard Blade religiously. “Sex Dwarf” was the song everyone knew and loved, but when I finally bought the album I was pleasantly surprised to learn there are many great tracks. My favorites include “Say Hello, Wave Goodbye” and “Entertain Me.” Here’s the album art.
In other news, I also rediscovered Dr. Know and the whole nardcore scene this week (Oxnard, yeah!). It’s a good week for rediscoverying.
