First single off of Megfaun’s new s/t album that’ll be hitting the shelves September 20th. This delivers exactly what I want from Megafaun - gentle vocals, subtle harmonies and just the right touch of chaos and clatter. Perfect.
"Elvis Costello has been in T Bone-assisted alt-country mode for the last couple of years, so for this unexpected, debonair ballad we have the soundtrack to Anne-Hathaway-attempts-a-British-accent romcom One Day to thank. Built on acoustic strums, twinkly piano, and swirling strings, “Sparkling Day” most recalls Painted By Memory Elvis, which is a fine era to revisit.” via Stereogum
Seems like I always miss the best Tiny Desk Concerts in person. Still kicking myself about Buke and Gass, which made the most memorable list. And it figures I would be on vacation for Low and Fountains of Wayne, two of my all-time favorites.
Hey everyone! We hope you get a chance to check out this next jam from our new record. It’s called “State/Meant”, and we should probably come clean about the fact that this is the only song on the record that uses Philly’s banjo. ;) Enjoy!
